Jordanian, Syrian, and American Talks in Amman to Strengthen Stability and Support Reconstruction

Today in Amman, important discussions took place involving Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, Syrian Foreign Minister and Emigrants Assistant Bakhdan Saad, and U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack, with representatives from relevant institutions of the three countries.
The meetings began with bilateral talks between Safadi and Saad, as a preparatory step for the upcoming trilateral meeting with Barrack. The aim of the talks is to discuss the current situation in Syria, ways to support reconstruction efforts, and to ensure stability, security, sovereignty, and to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people while safeguarding the rights of all components within Syrian society.
This gathering comes within the framework of a second round of meetings, following the initial meeting held in Amman on July 19, which focused on stabilizing the ceasefire in Suwayda province in southern Syria and resolving the ongoing crisis there.
As part of efforts to contain the crisis, the Syrian government announced the signing of four ceasefire agreements in Suwayda, the latest of which was signed after the July meeting.
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry, through its official account on X (Twitter), posted a photo documenting the ministerial meetings in Amman, emphasizing the importance of joint coordination among the three parties to support stability and advance reconstruction and recovery efforts in Syria.
