National Hospital Employees in Hasakah Protest Delayed Salaries for Integrated Staff
A number of employees at the National Hospital in the city of Hasakah held a protest outside the hospital building, calling for the prompt payment of salaries owed to integrated staff, which have remained delayed and negatively affected their living conditions.
The protest was attended by employees and healthcare workers, along with the Director of Health in Hasakah Governorate. Protesters held signs demanding the payment of their financial dues, including: “We Want Our Salaries Now… Enough Delays” and “Salaries Are Our Right,” in addition to slogans in Kurdish calling for the disbursement of overdue wages.
The protesters said that the continued delay in salary payments has increased the economic burdens they face, particularly amid rising living costs. They stressed that they continue to perform their duties and provide medical services to patients and visitors despite not receiving their entitlements.
The employees called on the relevant authorities to assume their responsibilities, find an urgent solution to the issue of salaries for integrated staff, and pay all overdue dues without further delay. They emphasized that salaries are a fundamental right and should not remain subject to prolonged administrative procedures.
The protest comes amid growing frustration among employees at several service and administrative institutions over delays in the payment of salaries and financial entitlements. The situation is exacerbating living pressures for thousands of families who rely on these salaries as their primary source of income.
