Security Operations in Northeastern Syria Inflict Heavy Losses on ISIS

In recent months, the northeastern regions of Syria have witnessed an intensive series of operations carried out by the "International Coalition" in coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). These operations targeted cells and members of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the provinces of Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Hasakah, and Aleppo.
As part of ongoing efforts to combat the organization and reduce its threats, the campaigns resulted in the deaths of 14 ISIS members and the arrest of 119 others, including prominent figures. Weapons and explosives were confiscated, and plots to carry out attacks against civilians and security forces were thwarted.
The methods of operations varied between ground raids and air assaults, helping to expand targeting of hidden cells and reduce their movements. Since the beginning of this year, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 54 joint operations between the "Coalition" and the "SDF," resulting in 14 deaths and the arrest of 119 ISIS members.
