The Governor of the Syrian Central Bank, Abdulqader Hasriyyah, issued a decision aimed at enhancing transparency, institutional efficiency, and reinforcing good governance principles. The decision includes a strict ban on accepting gifts within the bank.
Hasriyyah stated in the decision published on the bank's official accounts that employees are prohibited from accepting any gifts, perks, or services that could influence or give the impression of influencing their professional decisions. This applies to all types of gifts, including cash, goods, services, discounts, and any other related transactions.
He confirmed that this policy applies to all bank employees without exception, with the goal of protecting public funds, ensuring justice and equality in service provision, and strengthening public trust while upholding integrity in banking operations.
