Israeli Forces Release Two Young Men After Arresting Four During Incursion into Western Daraa Countryside
توغل إسرائيلي

Israeli forces released two of the four young men they had arrested early Monday morning during an incursion into the village of Abdeen, in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa countryside. The fate of the other two men remains unknown.

A force consisting of around 10 military vehicles and a large number of soldiers had entered the village, coinciding with helicopter and drone flights over the area. The force reached the mosque square before carrying out raids and searches of several homes.

The incursion comes as part of a series of repeated Israeli movements in the Yarmouk Basin and western Daraa countryside. These operations are sometimes accompanied by searches, arrests, and intensive drone activity.

On July 29, Israeli forces released two young men from the Quneitra and Damascus countryside after holding them for several months in Israeli prisons. The circumstances of their arrests were not officially disclosed.

According to local sources, the release took place without an official announcement from the Israeli authorities regarding the circumstances of the arrests or the charges against the two men. No additional information was available about the conditions surrounding their detention during the past period.

The latest release comes amid continued incursions and arrests carried out by Israeli forces in southern Syria, particularly in Quneitra and Damascus countryside. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has previously documented numerous arrests of civilians in the area over recent months.
