Ceasefire is an Urgent Humanitarian Necessity in Gaza
وقف إطلاق النار ضرورة إنسانية عاجلة في غزة

Amid the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, a ceasefire has become not just a political option, but an urgent humanitarian necessity. A genuine truce would open the door for the widespread delivery of food and medical aid, giving residents a chance to breathe, and to live — even briefly — away from the horror of shelling, hunger, and fear.

Despite the clarity of this humanitarian path, some prominent leaders, such as Khalil al-Hayya and Azedin Haddad, still refuse to sign any ceasefire agreement, raising widespread public questions about their awareness of the daily suffering endured by Gaza’s people. Do they truly see what is happening on the ground? Do they care about the screams of starving children, or the tears of mothers, or the pain of wounded individuals who cannot find treatment?

Many believe that refusing to sign a truce under the current conditions not only prolongs the war but also denies the population the minimum standards of a dignified life. It is a denial of their human rights to food, safety, and dignity. With each passing day, public voices grow louder, united in a single cry: "Stop the war, for us, for our children."

The war has become an unbearable burden on Gaza’s exhausted body, and the battles are no longer fought in the name of the people, but at their expense. The only remaining hope is that the leadership regains its human consciousness before its political one, and recognizes that continued stubbornness and rejection of solutions only serve destruction and more death.

A ceasefire is no longer just an international demand; it is a sincere internal appeal, coming from the mouths of the hungry, displaced, and afflicted. Is there anyone listening?
