Questions Surrounding the Results of the Israeli Attack on Hamas Command Headquarters in Doha

The aftermath of the Israeli attack on the Hamas leadership’s headquarters in Doha, Qatar, continues to resonate, as the Israeli Army Radio revealed new details about the incident on Thursday. The radio clarified that the air ordnance used in the operation was very limited, with approximately 10 bombs targeted. Despite this, the strikes were precise and did not completely destroy the building, as parts of it remained intact.
The report indicated that the reason for using such a small amount of munitions was to avoid injuring residents in the vicinity, especially Qataris. It confirmed that the target was limited and carefully planned. The radio added that senior Hamas officials were indeed inside the villa at the time of the attack, and it is likely that they were not injured or only suffered minor injuries. The possibility of some being wounded or targeted is still under review, but initial findings suggest that not all six targets were eliminated.
Israeli estimates suggest that understanding the full results of the attack may take several additional days. Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal quoted senior U.S. officials as saying President Donald Trump informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the decision to target Hamas inside Qatar was not a wise one. Netanyahu reportedly responded that the opportunity was narrow and that he seized it to launch the attack.
Later, the two leaders had a friendly call, during which Trump asked Netanyahu whether the operation had been successful. Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with the Israeli raid, telling reporters before heading to dine in Washington, “Honestly, I am not happy with the whole situation.”
