Sisi: Egypt Rejects Any Plans to Displace Gaza Residents
الرئيس السيسي

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has reiterated Egypt's firm stance against any plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people.

In statements made on Tuesday, Sisi emphasized that a final resolution to the Palestinian issue can only be achieved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, stressing that Egypt will not accept any attempts at displacement "under any name."

During his speech at the educational seminar organized by the armed forces in celebration of Martyr's Day, Sisi pointed out that the rapidly changing events in the world and the region, along with the threats they carry, have resulted in a turbulent reality, particularly concerning the Palestinian issue.

He confirmed that Egypt continues its ongoing efforts to provide visions that contribute to achieving security and peace in the region, as it is a key player in this matter. He explained that "Egypt's position has been constant and clear since the beginning of the crisis, reflecting the solidarity of the Egyptian people with their political leadership and their sincerity in loving their homeland."

Sisi also extended his appreciation to the steadfast Palestinian people for their resilience in their land, affirming that Egypt will continue to provide all possible support to stand by them in their struggle for survival and destiny.

In a related context, Sisi and several Arab leaders had expressed their rejection of former U.S. President Donald Trump's plan, which included a proposal to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip and "acquire" the territory. Trump had previously suggested evacuating the Strip and relocating its inhabitants to Egypt and Jordan, but later retracted this proposal, stating that it "would not be imposed."
