TEXAS Rallies to Maintain Order After Los Angeles Protests

The Republican governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, announced on Tuesday evening that the state will deploy National Guard forces to maintain order following recent escalating protests in the state, which included demonstrations against migrant arrests, coinciding with tensions in Los Angeles.
Abbott explained via the "X" platform that Texas Guard units will be sent to multiple locations across the state to ensure safety and order. He emphasized that peaceful protests are legally protected, but any assault on individuals or property is considered a violation of the law and will lead to arrests. He confirmed that Texas Guard will employ all available means and strategies to support law enforcement efforts in maintaining security.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles experienced ongoing demonstrations for a fifth consecutive day, with protesters gathering on highways. This prompted the city's mayor, Lilia, to impose a curfew in downtown Los Angeles to curb the escalation.
A "Sky News Arabia" correspondent reported a heavy police presence, with police vehicles and helicopters monitoring the protesters' movements in Los Angeles. Later, the Los Angeles police announced widespread arrests amid the protest gatherings, despite the enforcement of a nighttime curfew. The police also posted on "X" that protests continued on First Street between Spring and Alameda, with arrests ongoing and the curfew in effect to preserve public order.
