Trump Links French Student Protests to Immigration and Islam
الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب

U.S. President Donald Trump commented on student protests in France on Tuesday, describing the situation as the result of “uncontrolled mass migration.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the events were “not about schools, but about Islam and its desire to take control of a country that was once great.”

France saw widespread student demonstrations on Tuesday, with clashes between police and protesters in several cities. Security forces used tear gas to disperse demonstrators who had blockaded high schools, amid growing anger over deteriorating education conditions and shortages of teachers and resources.

The protests began in September in poor suburbs of Paris before spreading across the country, drawing students, teachers, and parents.

While demonstrations in Marseille and Nantes remained largely peaceful, clashes broke out in Strasbourg, Lyon, and Rennes, where protesters set fires in the streets and threw projectiles at police.
