"The Generals' Plan": A New Israeli Strategy for Dealing with the Situation in Gaza
-
The "Generals' Plan" reflects a shift in Israeli strategy towards Gaza, focusing on reshaping the security and political reality in the Strip

The northern Gaza Strip is witnessing a large-scale Israeli military operation, amid reports of partial implementation of what is known as the "Generals' Plan". This plan, developed by former Israeli National Security Council President Giora Eiland, aims to create a radical change in the security and political situation in the northern part of the Strip.
The plan includes measures such as calling on residents to move south and rearranging the security situation in the area. Although the Israeli government has not officially approved this plan, reports indicate that parts of it are being implemented on the ground.
The World Food Programme has expressed concern about the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza, pointing to difficulties in delivering food aid since the beginning of October. Civilians in the area face significant challenges in making decisions about staying or displacing.
According to army statements, the Israeli military operation aims to target Hamas positions and fighters in the area. The army has issued repeated calls for civilians to evacuate certain areas, but many residents refuse to leave for various reasons.
The ultimate goal of the plan appears to be reshaping the reality in northern Gaza Strip. These developments are drawing increasing international attention, with calls to ensure the protection of civilians and facilitate the access of humanitarian aid.
Amid these events, international calls for a political solution to the crisis are increasing. Eyes remain on field developments and international positions in the coming days, with anticipation for the outcomes of this new strategy and its effects on the scene in Gaza and the region as a whole.
