Massive Protest in New York Demands the Arrest of Netanyahu and an End to the Gaza Aggression

A large crowd of thousands gathered in New York City during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, with protesters taking to the streets demanding his arrest and calling for an end to the military escalation in Gaza.
The march began early in the morning from Times Square and spread across the city, starting in front of the UN building. Participants raised Palestinian flags and banners bearing messages such as: "Stop all US aid to Israel," "Arrest war criminal Netanyahu," and "Stop starving Gaza now!"
The protesters signaled their success when organizers announced that all heads of state had left the General Assembly hall during Netanyahu's speech, and chants erupted: "Hey Netanyahu, you can't hide, we hold you responsible for genocide!"
The New York Police Department confirmed that approximately 2,000 protesters participated as they began marching toward the UN headquarters around 10:15 a.m., after Netanyahu’s speech ended. The protesters filled Broadway’s 42nd Street and then moved north, closing several blocks on Sixth Avenue.
The demonstrators also expressed their opposition to ongoing US support for Israel. David Robinson from Brooklyn stated, "Trump administration officials don’t care about Palestinian lives; they watch their suffering indifferently. It breaks my heart, and I don’t understand why everyone is gathering here now."
In recent days, protests against the Israeli government, supporting Palestinian rights, have taken place across major US universities and cities, amid rising anger over the military escalation in Gaza.
