Reuters: Most of the Highly Enriched Uranium Removed from Natanz Facility to an Unannounced Site Before U.S. Attack

Satellite images published by The Washington Post revealed unusual activity near the entrance of Iran’s Fordo uranium enrichment facility days before the U.S. attack on the site, indicating unexpected movements prior to the strike. The images showed that 16 large trucks were parked near the underground entrance, then moved approximately one kilometer northwest the following day, according to a satellite analyst from Maxar. Additionally, bulldozers and other trucks were spotted near the entrance, including one truck parked directly at it, raising questions about the nature of activities taking place near the facility before the attack.
Iranian media confirmed that Tehran had evacuated three nuclear sites some time ago, and most of the highly enriched uranium was transferred from Fordo to a previously undisclosed location, according to an Iranian source cited by Reuters.
In the escalation, U.S. President Donald Trump announced early Sunday that the U.S. military had carried out a "very successful" attack on three Iranian nuclear sites, including the underground Fordo facility. Trump posted on the "Truth Social" platform: "We completed our very successful attack on three of Iran’s nuclear sites, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan." He added that the aircraft carrying out the strikes left Iranian airspace safely on their way back home.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed concern over the U.S. strikes, calling them "barbaric," and warned of their ongoing consequences. He stated that Tehran "retains all options for retaliation," amid rising tensions and the tenth day of the Israel-Iran conflict.
