The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that its forces have taken control of two villages, Fedorovka in the Donetsk region and Novovasyliivka in the Zaporizhia province, while also reporting the interception of drone attacks attempted targeting the oil-rich Tiumen region in western Siberia.

Details indicate that the ministry explained, "Units from the Southern Forces liberated Fedorovka in the Donetsk Republic, while the Eastern Forces liberated Novovasyliivka in Zaporizhia." It confirmed that Russian forces inflicted significant losses on Ukrainian troops, including personnel and equipment, during the operations.

The ministry had previously announced on Monday the control of Russian forces over the town of Otradenoye in Kharkiv province, where units from the Northern Forces successfully conducted operations and liberated the town. It also noted that the "Southern group" forces managed to seize Kузминовка in Donetsk after driving out Ukrainian forces, according to the ministry's statement.

In other developments, Russian authorities reported via Telegram that three drones attacked the Tiumen region, rich in oil in western Siberia, on Monday evening. The drones were detected and neutralized before causing damage. The statement indicated that rapid emergency responses prevented explosions, and no injuries or direct damage were reported.

Tiumen is located more than 2,000 kilometers from the front line, in the Asian part of Russia. If the drones were launched from Ukraine, this would be the first time long-range drones have reached the Ural Mountains.

Regarding the reported damages, Ukrainian "Xellinova" channel stated that an oil refinery was targeted. However, the accompanying image provided as a reference source showed only minor damage to a security wall around oil tanks, and the authenticity or source of the image could not be independently verified.
