Trump announces the timetable for resuming nuclear talks with Iran
ترامب

On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American and Iranian officials will begin negotiations next week, following the end of military operations. He expressed hope that an agreement could be reached that involves Tehran abandoning its nuclear program.

In a press conference held on the sidelines of the NATO summit, Trump said, "We will talk to Iran next week, and perhaps we will sign an agreement. We will ask them to give up their nuclear program." However, he later clarified that he does not see the need to finalize an agreement with Iran at this stage, reaffirming his commitment to the "pressure" campaign on Tehran.

Trump emphasized that U.S. pressures will continue, comparing the recent strikes conducted by Washington against Iranian targets to those that targeted the Japanese city of Hiroshima during World War II, saying, "I will not stop the pressure campaign against Iran."

Regarding the latest intelligence report on the outcomes of those strikes, Trump downplayed its importance, asserting that the information gathered indicates that the targeted site was completely erased. He added, "I do not rely on Israeli intelligence."

In another context, Trump considered that both Iran and Israel are “exhausted and tired” due to the ongoing conflicts, warning of the possibility of escalation between the two sides soon and warning of its repercussions on the region.
