Hamas announces the death of its Prime Minister in an Israeli airstrike

The government media office in the Gaza Strip announced today (Tuesday) the deaths of several leaders of governmental work, including its Prime Minister in the region, Essam Al-Dalais, as a result of the Israeli airstrikes on the strip.
The office stated in a press release: "We proudly and honorably mourn to our Palestinian people and our Arab and Islamic nation, as well as to the free people of the world, a group of leaders of governmental work in the Gaza Strip, including the martyr and great leader Essam Al-Dalais, head of the government follow-up, martyr and leader advisor Ahmad Al-Hatta, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, martyr and leader Major General Mahmoud Abu Wafah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and martyr and leader Major General Bahjat Abu Sultan, Director of the Internal Security Service."
The statement noted that these leaders "were martyred after being directly targeted by occupation aircraft, along with their families, as part of the ongoing bombardment operations that have resulted in hundreds of martyrs among the Palestinian people since dawn today."
The office confirmed that "the loss of governmental leaders will not deter us from our national duty toward the Palestinian people, and we will continue to fulfill our religious, moral, and professional role in serving them and supporting their resilience against this barbaric aggression."
For its part, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that more than 400 people have been killed as a result of the continuous Israeli airstrikes since dawn today on the strip.
In a related context, Israel launched new airstrikes in various areas of the Gaza Strip, pledging to escalate military force after stalled talks with Hamas regarding the release of more hostages.
