The departure of 233 families from Hol Camp to Iraqi territories

The Hol Camp located in northern rural Hasakah has seen another evacuation process, with 233 Iraqi families totaling 812 individuals leaving towards the Jad'ah Camp in Iraqi territory. This operation is part of coordinated efforts between the administration of North and East Syria and the Iraqi government, under direct supervision of the multinational coalition forces.
This step is part of an ongoing strategy to ease the pressure on Hol Camp, which hosts thousands of IDPs from various nationalities, and to facilitate the return of families to their homelands, while ensuring their files are in order and that they are not linked to any extremist activities.
Sources indicated that the evacuations are conducted after a thorough review of the families' files and verification of their status. Additionally, the Syrian Observatory documented yesterday the departure of a new batch of displaced persons consisting of 127 individuals, distributed among 36 families, who originate from Aleppo, Idlib, Raqa, and surrounding areas. These measures are part of coordination efforts between the Self-Administration and tribal elders and prominent figures to gradually clear the camp of Syrian families wishing to return to their homes amid complex humanitarian and security conditions, especially since the camp is considered one of the most dangerous areas in Syria due to the presence of former ISIS elements and their families.
